I like shiny things and bubbles\u2026 and sense of coziness all around me, like a soft winter blanket that wraps around you and comforts you within its nurturing cave of comfort and safety. I spent a full year debating with myself on how my art no longer feels like that blanket and perhaps I should give it up all together. I would barely pick up a brush anymore, and to think about starting a new piece was out of the question. And then this debate turned in to a constant alarm in my mind and no matter what I did, it just refused to stay silent. I thought \u201cLoose\u201d period would have taken care of that by now, but I was wrong. I needed something stronger to break the dry spell. So back to the easel it was. I reviewed some pieces I thought completed, repainted them completely, gave them a new skin\u2026 I finished a couple of abandoned ones\u2026 And I began anew. And did it all with red paint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
